Had pain for a few months and was initially told stress frac

Had pain for a few months and was initially told stress fracture, I was booted for a few weeks and at my follow up with a different doctor I was told it was not a fracture just arthritis. Has anyone had anything like this happen? I have terrible midfoot arthritis in my right foot. Thinking of getting a second opinion.
