How come I’m no longer A-list preferred since SWA changed everything? I’ve been a card member for years and now it’s like starting all over again. I’m sure this has been discussed but I’m just wondering how many people this has affected. What is the reason for this?

A list preferred has nothing to do with having a credit card.
You need points or flights.

There has been no change to how you earn A list or APL status.

I was accidently logged into my wife's account while trying to book a flight to MSP. Saw a bunch of seats were available. When I switched over to my account all those seats were gone. I am A list preferred. What is this?! Take a look at the screen shots. Same exact flight, just A list vs non. You would think A list should be able to get the better seats.

yep - have the same experience here... and it's been noticed for a while. the good news is if you call southwest they can book any of the open ones. it's just a pain because you have to call.

Same. I’m hoping it’s just a launch glitch that they will fix but my fear is that this designed this way. Not exactly honoring the loyalty here.
