I was able to return to work after 16 days of my surgery. My work is as sedentary as I make it. My doctor did give me a letter with some accommodations: no heavy lifting, rest as needed, keep foot elevated as needed, no prolonged standing. After 2 days I had call in sick because my lower back was hurting from sitting with my leg up and my foot was hurting. But I was able to go back to work the following day and today. Also I got a pedicure yesterday (Thursday). My nail lady worked on my foot without getting it wet.
