6 weeks post op this coming Wednesday.

6 weeks post op this coming Wednesday. I was wondering if others experience more swelling when they first get up in the morning rather than after being up and walking around? I would have expected the opposite. Maybe its the blood moving that helps? My first few steps in the morning always make me feel like I've taken a step back in my recovery and my foot is more swollen and uncomfortable (no pain). I usually elevate while I sleep.
