Edited to update: I decided to stay home after all. I just joined this group and am so grateful already. Hi all. I had surgery Friday morning (MTP joint fusion - drainage/removal of two large cysts with a two incisions). I have high dose Ibuprofen and hydrocodone for the pain. Icing ankle and knee and attempting to ice the bandaged area. Swelling feels awful. I can't put my leg down at all. I am supposed to sit in a car for a 50 min ride (and 50 min ride back home) later today. I think I can lay in our third row seat. Has anyone had a car ride post-surgery and can recommend if this is a good or bad idea? It is a family function so I could stay home.
