Has anyone gone to see a sport physician after a referral for bone oedema and the child has been in pain for 10 weeks to be told that young females seem that their brain overreacts to the pain and to take antidepressants at a low dose so they can sleep and retrain the brain to say it doesnât hurt. Her foot is so tender and is swollen. She definitely hasnât overreacted. If I touch her arch I can bring her to tears. Not only that he said I donât mind her walking on the side of her foot. I like his theory but sheâs really struggling.

So I thought I might get away from having any more neuropathy pain starting up. Boy was I naive about that. For the last couple of months in addition to my other foot issues the pad under the left toe by the pinky started getting shooting pains every so often. I was hoping my right foot was going to be spared. The same kind of pain in the same area started on my right foot. What meds or supplements do you take to help you with neuropathy pain? Apparently I'm taking a med for my mental health that is also used for neuropathy pain so my Dr won't do anything other than T3's and naproxen both to be used as needed.

I had trauma/injury to my right side of my right foot tripping badly in mid May, about 12 weeks ago. I still have pain on the right side of my right foot and a lot of swelling all over my entire foot. Here are my x-rays. I am in need of another opinion. 1. Is there any evidence of a possible fracture anywhere on my foot? 2. If so, does it look like the bone is healing normally? 3. If not, does the bone look like a nonunion, needing intervention/surgery? 4. Based on the x-rays, is it safe to put weight on my foot and walk without causing any bones to shift more/crack further/not heal correctly? If so, should I be in a walking boot? 5. Do these x-rays look blurry? Technician did not allow me to remove my sock so I'm wondering if I need new clearer x-rays to see any possible small fracture. It would be helpful to know your background in this area if you respond. Thank you for your help!

Hi guys. I dropped my MacBook on my toe vertically about 2+ years ago. Got an xray only on toe and nothing showed up and I felt kind of gaslit at the doctor because it obviously wasnât broken and I wasnât great at speaking up for myself and my pain, but I know something else was going on that the xray didnât see but didnât end up doing anything else. I donât have insurance so going back is not an option right now. Well now I have pain right below my big toe where it starts, when Iâm standing or walking or bending over weird the pain starts shooting in my foot. Itâs bearable to the point where I can tolerate it, but itâs starting to get very frustrating. Any suggestions or foot brace tips that would help? Itâs mainly when Iâm walking so if thereâs something that would fit under my shoes comfortably that would be great. Thanks!
