Has anyone had a problem with their big toe nail? My big toe

Has anyone had a problem with their big toe nail? My big toe is constantly swollen 5 months on from op. My nail is digging in the sides and causing it to bleed, I’ve had antibiotic cream and a week of antibiotics but 4 weeks on it’s still really sore and discharging but doctor says just bath in salt water and see a podiatrist once it’s healed! It’s effecting my walk g cause it’s so sore.
