I’ve now had dressings removed after extensive forefoot reconstruction/revision surgery big toe (1st MTPJ) fusion plus correction/fusion of toes 2–4 with external K-wires still in until 20th June. Honestly, mentally this stage has hit me harder than expected. Seeing the foot for the first time was overwhelming and I’m struggling a bit with how it currently looks.
