I would take it easy on that foot after surgery! Wishing you a great recovery!
That’s fantastic!!! So in my experience on another foot/ankle surgery. The 1st dr put me in a boot and no weight for 4 wks, well during that time, scar tissue built up fast due to not using it. 2nd operation new Dr, 3 hrs just to remove scar tissue! After he said walk and ankle circles all the time. Never had pain again. You have a great dr
I had open release surgery on 1/21. I walked out of the surgery center on my own with the assistance of my husband and a nurse. I came home in a bulky bandage and surgical shoe. My stitches are scheduled to be removed on 2/9. The first 3 days I walked from bed to bathroom and that was it. I have very little pain. I took one prescription pain pill the first day following surgery.. that was it. Pain has been pretty much nonexistent. Very little swelling or bruising. I am now walking still in my surgical shoe all through my house and earlier this week I was able to use the stairs with my husband watching me.
You guys that had surgery what state do you live in. I’m thinking it may be my next step, so I need a great Dr
Surgery isn't a fix all. I had the open plantar fasciotomy on 12/16 and used a scooter to get around for about 4 weeks then I started full weight baring and I feel like I never had surgery. The neuropathy in my left foot where I had the surgery is worse. I've been using frankincense and prayer and that seems to help. I go back to work on 2/9 so I'm hoping the pain ceases so I can get back to normal life
I walked out of surgery the same day on both feet!!
Just take it easy on them
why do you say this? Just curious. Not asking in a negative way.
because they mean that surgery isn’t a fix to PF. It can lead to long term issues later on.
no fix for PF thats why there is no cure, things can help sure but they are only short term solutions
there is a cure, it’s not just surgery is what they mean.
yea I am, the pain meds have worn off now and there's no way I can walk on it now 😞😳
folk reading your post will think that they can be walking fine after surgery. You should maybe delete post.
I'm not deleting anything ! I'm not lying ! It's the truth, it's whats happening to me!!!
you’ve misunderstood me.
that's interesting 🤔 thanks, I think that's what I needed to hear. 🤞
I’m having surgery this morning in California at Stanford Sports Medicine clinic
Thank you. Good luck. I’m hoping it’s easy peasy recovery for you!
