ALTRA ESCALANTE 4 I highly recommend this sneaker for post-op recovery! It has a wide toe box and great cushioning. The sizing runs small, so I had to go up two sizes from my usual. Not that pricey (140€)

I adore these shoes! So cushy, pliable, flexible, lightweight. Not a stability shoe, though. I was wearing these preop for running errands. For stability and longer walks, I use ASICS GT 2000 12 and ASICS Gel Cumulus 26.

Oh with my bunions??? Heck yes! I’ve had one foot operation and the other foot hopefully later this summer. These shoes were recommended to me at Marathon Sports where they assess your gait and consult on the right shoe for you. My podiatrist approved them. But you can buy them on Amazon and return if they don’t fit right. And if you have a Marathon Sports near you, I would check it out so you can try on the different brands in person!
