Best athletic shoe wide width AND wide toe box? Hi all. I know that it has been mentioned here already but I can’t find the thread. I would love some recommendations on wide width (including toe box) athletic shoes. I need good arch support and cushioning please and thanks in advance

Try Drew shoes maybe. My foot is very short & very wide. I usually get New Balance tennis shoes in 5 EEEE that really is the only shoe I can find in US shoe stores that fits comfortably. Sometimes even that is snug. I've seen Drew shoes online.

My recommendation: go to a local running store where the staff will measure your feet, look at your gait, listen to what you are looking for in a shoe and then recommend the options that are available.

I wear Adidas Ultraboost with Primeknit. Lots of cush, and the Primeknit is stretchy so it fits around my bunions. Most styles have arch support. I have high arches and mid-foot arthritis. I work in a school...

I don't know where you live , I'm in Florida. We have a place called Fit2run , they scan your feet and email you all the information BUT they also tell you which shoes are the best fit for your feet * in store *

After years of podiatrists recommending/selling shoes to satisfy my hubby's/my very different foot needs, none of them really comfortable but 'okay', we tried a shoe smith who specialized in custom orthodics and shoe modification; that worked pretty great and not too expensive! We now both where HOKA brands. They've specialty lines for supination/over-under pronators/etc. They support differently, some have rocker bottoms, several lines are for running, while those we get are for walking/hiking. Check them out. Most sporting goods carry 1-10 styles, it seems.

Hi Trish! Asics Gel-Kayano 27, Brooks Ghost 13, and New Balance Fresh Foam 1080v10 are great options for wide width and wide toe box athletic shoes with good arch support and cushioning. You can also check out Hoka One One Bondi 7 and Saucony Triumph 18. Hope this helps

Icarus Ascent

thank you Ihave triedDrew. The problem with them is that they have too much heel to toe drop putting too much pressure on ball of feet for me. I do like their clogs for wearing around the house though.

I actually have those now the toe box isn’t wide enough plus the brand doesn’t hold up very well for me but thanks for the input

I went there - also in Florida - a few years ago. Wore the shoes 3x and donated them. Hurt my feet in every way. The clerks aren't especially trained. So words to the wise.

I had a horrible experience with the one near me in OKC and donated the shoes after wearing them to work one shift! I’ve had better luck with Brooks and New Balance.

I actually tried those years ago when they first came out I found them to be heavy and klunky but I will try again. Thank you

I thought that it was the Hoka Clifton 8 that was recommended here. I could not find those in my size so I ordered the Clifton 9 I sure hope they work. I have been through so many expensive shoes that feel good for about 3-4 weeks only.

try Brooks Ghost 14 with added Spenco Ground Control insert (throw out the factory included insert). Works great for me, hope it helps you!

Hi ! Have you tried looking into Brooks or New Balance? They both offer a variety of athletic shoes with wider widths and toe boxes, and they also have options with good arch support and cushioning. It might be worth checking out their websites or going to a store to try some on. Hope this helps!

New Balance 990v6 comes in 6E. Also, search “bronax” on Amazon - they have a wide toe box athletic shoe.

I used to wear drew problem with those are they have too much drop from heel to toe they make the ball of my foot hurt after awhile they are great shoes if you can wear them

orthofeet is one shoe that I really disliked.the ones I got were super deep to accommodate all of those inserts I guess but they just didn’t work for me. Thank you for the reply though

as a nurse I wore Brooks Women’s Walking Shoes for years, but they changed it and the new ones are nowhere near as good or comfortable. I’ll have to check the Ghost. Thanks
