Did anyone have a bunion at the base of the big toe on top of the foot ( not side) WITH a bone spur on top of the bunion? Dr said I’d be on my feet in a few days. I dance and need to be back on my feet asap. I have multiple sclerosis, too so I am nervous about a procedure at almost 55 years old!!

I had bone spur addressed along with bunions on both feet last Wednesday. I can update you if you like when they take the bandages off which will be next Wednesday. It's quite sore just now but closer to uncomfortable than actually painful. I'm 53.
Is a beginning of bunion! So if painful go and adjust it, after u must take care to avoid recurring! If no painful then stop it from getting bad , but not easy 😂

It is a dorsal bunion, it grows on the top instead of the side. I’ve been told to wait until it’s effecting my life severely before having anything done. Mine is tender but doesn’t ache I just can’t wear certain shoes 🫤
how do you get around when both feet are done?
I can hobble to the loo and I have crutches for the walk to the kitchen. I have special sandals for walking.

oh dear , had to go surgery! It definitely make it look good, but no guarantee is painless after! Unless u do home work , get an experienced surgeon. Look for Dr Bregam he was here answering our concerns! Haha

Same here. Mine is huge at this point, but doesn’t hurt unless I wear tight shoes. Finding shoes that fit is next to impossible. I go barefoot when I can. Helps a lot!
walking is hard. Toe, ball of foot & the lump itself hurt, making walking & even driving difficult. It’s messing with my dancing too.
yes, barefoot helps but the pressure of walking even barefoot around the house aggravates it.
aww sounds awful! Poor thing it looks red and inflamed, maybe it’s time to have it looked at. I’m from the UK so I’ve not had an actual consultation for it as I’d have to be on the referral list probably years! My GP did say leave it as long as you can as the surgery is a long recovery. I have had x-rays and they have told me moderate arthritis big toe.
