Does this look like healing well?

Archive date 18 archived replies

Does this look like healing well? I removed my toe nail ten days ago. The doctor told me to soak twice a day with Epsom salt water and apply anti bacterial ointment. I have been closing the wound with gauze the whole day and night. Been covering it for ten days now. The doctor told me to keep the wound open after ten days. I am yet to do that. I soaked the wound today and it still looks red in color. Not sure if it's healing as expected. Does this picture look like normal healing after ten days of nail removal? It still looks red where the nail was removed. All red and puffy. I am being very careful while showering too. Taking a very brief shower the last ten days. I don't want to get it more soak.. Is this how it looks after ten days ? Should we keep it open?

Why not listen to your doctor?

Did you remove it yourself? I’m not sure the timeline on these pics. Which one is most recent? The last pic looks better than the first few. I am pretty sure you need the entire nail off though.

Anonymous member 161 sorry I don't understand this response. I am asking the group how the healing goes after the nail removal. I hope other people share their experiences.

Anonymous member 161 doctors have been treating my mom for 3 years, still awful looking, I had tried a lot of treatments on my son's, he is autistic, what's worked faster then anything is collidial silver, his nail bed already looks awesome! And it will never damage his health!

Anonymous member 776 the doctor removed the entire nail. It's been 2 weeks now and this is the recent pic taken yesterday.

No photo description available.

Anonymous member I was just asking to see if you had diabetes which can someone cause bad circulation and sensation to your toes and feet
