A bone takes up to a year to heal. If the bone is cut, it takes time to get back to running etc.

There is nothing quick about bunion repair. Initial healing 8 weeks but months before resuming normal sports activities. I had chevron with excellent results but it took longer than preferred. At 4 months I am able to resume rebounding workouts.
