I’m about the same as you … 10 days post op. But do they my stitches out until July 7th. Still in boot. Just wanted to say your foot is looking great!

Had my post op appointment yesterday, 10 days post op.
Had my post op appointment yesterday, 10 days post op. Bandages off and stitches were taken out and cleared to get my foot wet which I done for the first time this morning. Still rather swollen around my big toe, not in any great deal of pain now, just the odd tender feeling. Been encouraged to walk as normal as I can when in orthopaedic sandal/shoe (perhaps walked around a little too much yesterday). Any tips for this part of recovery and how not to become too complacent? I would not want to hinder any progress further down the line but also want to make sure I am making the right progress for now! See less

Your foot looks great! Listen to your body and if you start feeling more pain then you should stop. My doctor gave me the ok to start walking a little after my 2 week visit but I was worried that my foot wouldn’t fuse so waited a month. My doctor didn’t give me the ok to go to the grocery store until 10 weeks out because of all the walking we do shopping. I did go then and felt some discomfort after but it went away after a couple of hours.
