Has anyone been to Foot First Podiatry in Chicago?

Has anyone been to Foot First Podiatry in Chicago? If so, how was your experience? Shared post Melissa Philip 3 months post surgery. My surgery and recovery was easy and I’ve been walking pain free with some residual swelling. When I lay my foot flat on the floor, I noticed that my toe is now drifting back towards my second toe again, so I made an appointment and was told that it already turned 8° because I’m continuing to overpronate and that I’ll need better arch support. I thought the purpose of this surgery was to correct my foot and I’m so disappointed now. Has anyone else dealt with this? Thank you in advance. 3 months post surgery. I have the most painful (getting worse over the last 7 months) painful bunionette! It’s making me miserable.. tried orthotics and pain relief but nothing worked.been referred for an xray but the wait is sooo long! I can only wear crocs and every other shoe hurts! What can I do? My bunion progressed so bad that my big toe is touching the middle toe and the 2nd toe sitting on top, spacers help relieve but to some extent only. All went well and the medical team is fantastic! Im now focusing on recovery. I was asleep during the procedure (general anaesthesia) and was given nerve block. Surgery commenced 2:30pm. I was woken up at 4:20pm in recovery room to tell me it was all done. I was oblivious! I was freaking out about the surgery for no reason, reading too much internet will play tricks in your mind. Its almost 24 hrs post op and I can weight bear as tolerated with some crutches. Im getting on top of pain management strictly following dr’s orders. My BP drops so I am light headed, i needed to be supervised when going to toilet to avoid falls. I am a triathlete and running with bunion is a torture. My coach who is now in his 70’s had MIBS in 2024 to both his feet, he’s back training in just a couple of months post op (he just finished another ironman this year). I am permitted to go back swim training once my wounds are healed, and then slowly progressing back to cycling (unclipping bike shoes will be a challenge) then last get back to running.
