I’ve not heard of it, but I’d be very interested to see how you get on. Please keep us posted!

Hello, new here. Ten years, three podiatrists and one foot nurse later, here I am. I was told all this time I had "thickened toenails" due to repeated trauma, ill fitting shoes etc. Previous tests negative until the most recent one. I've tried everything over the years, listerine, epsom salts, all the topicals, ACV, Urea. Doctor unwilling to prescribe oral, says liver risk outweighs benefits. Recently started Toe Fx (Canada but I think in US soon). After significantly grinding down nail, they apply Methylene Blue dye which sticks to the fungal spores. Placed under red led lights 660 nm for 15 minutes, the dye makes the spores vulnerable to the light and damages them. I am skeptical, but hopeful. It costs $60 for treatment every two weeks, and it could take ten to twenty sessions. Here is before my first treatment, here's hoping I see some results. Anyone else tried Toe Fx and what were your results?

it's the light set up you need
I have one
Really, so have you done the methylene blue red light treatment at home? Success?
no I’m just hearing about it through you. I’m gonna search a methylene blue today. I know you can get it, but I don’t know the name brand. And I have a red light that does the 660 and 850 from LifePro.
interesting, I'm going to do some research too, thanks!
I got my blue today. Do you know if they diluted theirs or did it straight up from the bottle?
sorry I don't know

have you started this yet and also I wonder if it could be done once a week instead of every two
I have had 2 treatments so far. I don't know why 2 weeks is chosen, based on the research I suppose? My nails are stained blue for the entire 2 weeks in between. The nails are dremelled down as thin as possible before each treatment as well.
ok nice. Let us know how you get on. I didn’t know the nails would thicken up in that little bit of time to where they need to file again.
she did a big grind at the first treatment with a lighter grind for subsequent treatment(s). She took them down as far as I could tolerate sensitivity. I am applying urea twice a day in an attempt to thin them as well. Crossing my fingers this works I will keep you posted
last question lol does she put the light against the nail or is it hovering above?
its overhead, she sticks my feet in a little dome
Hi can I ask a favor. When you go have your treatment done again can you ask her what percentage she uses like a one percent or 2%? I’ve already done two treatments 10 days apart at one percent
OK I will ask her next week
good morning, did you get to ask your doctorWhat percent she was using? I’m only using one percent but if I need to use two to make it work, I will ..Also, did she ever say if you can use another topical with that I’ve been looking but unfortunately, we don’t have any doctors that do that here yet.. so I’m going to do my third treatment tomorrow… and I wonder if you can clean the blue staining off in between the two weeks or if it needs to stay…
1%. Leave dye on in between treatments. Yes you can use another treatment simultaneously, I have just been spraying with rubbing alcohol twice a day. She has ground the nails as thin as I can tolerate. She says she can see improvement already but I can't, all I see is blue feet lol. I've had 4 treatments, 2 weeks apart so far.
i’ve been spraying alcohol on too and then that’s what I used to get it off from the sides of the nail but I don’t do that until the next day. I guess I can just leave it. good thing. Sandal season is almost over lol I still wonder why the two weeks why it can’t be done sooner. but I’ll just stick to my once a week for now.
