Help! I’ve had this for nearly 20 years and it’s slowly getting worse! What can I do? I’ve always tried to hide it with pedicure (I would file them down as flat as I could before my pedicure and ask for gel pedicure). I always have to hide my feet with my partner’s and was too embarrassed to do any type of treatment at home in front of them so I never did anything. Now that I am single and living by myself again I want to GET RID OF THIS. It thickins my nail and when I file or cut it has like a chalky substance. It doesn’t hurt when I file it down. The fugus is only on my left foot, and mostly on my last 3 toes, but I do see it transferring to my big toe . Help me. Thank you so much in advance.

do you know what kind? I want to bring it up to my doctor at my visit.
I've been prescribed Terbinafine tablets. Take a long time though but I've started taking them regularly now. I'm also same re hiding feet and covering with nail polish when need to 😢
Covering it up will definitely make it worse 🙁 I've tried tea tree oil nail polish and it still made it worse. Have you tried Nonyx? Yours actually doesn't look too bad to me. Looks like theres room to trim your nails down to remove a decent part of the bad parts. I got a cheap nail drill on Amazon and managed to sand off the little white spots in time on my left foot when it briefly had some spots after I painted my nails. My right foot isn't as good though.. I have managed to clear one toenail on that side. Combo Nonyx and getting lucky enough to be able to sand/drill off the spots when they're not too bad. When looking back at pictures, the toenail that is clear now was one of the worst looking which is weird. Overtime, I think I was able to keep it short enough and decently cleared with Nonyx. Then there was a day where it just had a white spot corner that I could sand off and now that toenail is clear. I still put Nonyx on all my toenails (even the cleared ones) to keep them clear.
Terbinafine oral medication and do it fast
