Hi, has anyone had this operation because of- metatarsal sesamoid osteoarthritis and hallux valgus deformity. Then had this Scarf and Akins osteotomy on the toe. How is your foot now ? Took x-ray of left foot to assess for surgery... my big toe is arthritic. But he will do surgery and pin toe so am now waiting for date (about 2-3 months) for 2nd surgery. In the very beginning, I had severe nerve pain went to numerous doctors over a year and finally was diagnosed with CRPS which was literally a nightmare. I ended up having to have a nerve block which helped tremendously . Well fast-forward two years after that and now I am having pain in the ball of my foot right underneath my big toe pad so I will be seeing another orthopedic doctor next week. Has anyone else experienced this type of pain?  The Doctor Who originally performed my surgery, said that it appeared to be a lesion type cyst or inflammation just from going by an ultrasound image. But that's pretty much all I know . The doctor I go to next week will be for a second opinion as it has been like 4 months since then and still have pain . Sometimes shooting sharp pain . I’m in UK, has anyone else had similar surgery and how did you manage pain? x Shared post
