Hi, I’m due to get surgery on both my feet soon for tailors bunions, I just wondered what people’s experiences have been like, I was told it will be a minimally invasive surgery. Thanks Éva Bába I’m hoping that I will get the call soon for the date of my surgery, it’s been 9 months since I am waiting. Any advice what to ask at the pre op appointment? I was told that it could be a long recovery and no weight bearing for 6 weeks. The surgeon said that he is not very often see foot like mine. We discussed the risks like infection, distal neurovascular injury and recurrence or worsening of pain. but I need this surgery and I trying to be positive. In the very beginning, I had severe nerve pain went to numerous doctors over a year and finally was diagnosed with CRPS which was literally a nightmare. I ended up having to have a nerve block which helped tremendously . Well fast-forward two years after that and now I am having pain in the ball of my foot right underneath my big toe pad so I will be seeing a Meagan Carriere I am in so much pain, and its my own clumsy fault. Dont ask me how, but I somehow stepped on my own foot, badly. The, had surgery a year ago, foot. Plate and screws. It is really, really hurting. Both numb and burning pain. Im probably ok right?
