Hi I'm having a steroid cortisone injection tomorrow on my 2nd TMTJ due to pain caused by arthritis. Surgeon not interested in touching the bunion yet. He said if the injection doesn't work he would consider a two procedures in one operation - fusion of TMTJ and bunion removal at same time. Has anyone else been treated like this - I'm NHS UK patient? Seems to me like they're addressing the symptom and not the cause.
