Linda Chelle Lyman I have terrible calluses on my left foot that feel like I have rocks in my shoe. It's all due to my toes criss crossing. The top of my foot also hurts all the time. At times it feels like it's on fire. The bunion itself rarely hurts. I've put off surgery for 20 years. Missing 8 weeks of work spends just as painful.

Ang Morris I am just like you! Bunions both feet, but my left foot is much worse - I need surgery very badly, but due to other physical conditions, the surgeon is very concerned/hesitant to do the bunion surgery as I can’t be mobile safely after with the boot & that knee rolling/walker thingy. What is shocking is …..they didn’t tell me anything to do since can’t have surgery…..it really hurts & I don’t know how I’m going to deal with it long term especially knowing I don’t have surgery. On my foot, the moderate bunion means I’d have to have the surgeon cut off part of bones from my big toe & then other toes to insert hardware. He said most people only have to do this to the big toe, but due to the level of my bunion & the side toes bending/arching that is why I’d have hardware into 3 toes My pain is like my bones are crossing/crunching/crowded. Charlie horse type cramps. Sometimes hurts to put weight on & wakes me up. Inflammation. Actual side of toe/foot where bunion actually is can get very sore & painful. I really hope your surgery goes GREAT - prayers it goes as smoothly as possible & as little pain as possible
