Hmmmmm. About 4 months ago i had an ingrown toenail cut out. Ever since then my big toe has been really sore when i push off on it in one spot. I've had 2 MRI's done which showed nothing except for a bit of a bulge which they said was an oedema and should hopefully resolve itself. I had seen an orthopaedic surgeon as my GP wasn't sure what it was. Anyway, my orthopaedic surgeon rang me today to say that they had reviewed my MRI and had found that I have somehow torn the tendon (not anything to do with the ingrown toenail) of my big toe. Over the years I am sure I have stubbed my toe many times and even remember a desk being dropped on it once many years ago. After doing a quick google search on torn tendons it can lead to pain radiating through the foot. So, on top of PF which I already have in both feet and worse in the right which is the sore toe too I now have extra pain from this torn tendon. I keep gaining weight which isn't helping but can't exercise as feet and toe are too sore. Can't win with this

I started weight training a month ago because I read that lifting weights helped a lot of people with PF. I do feel much better and I’m getting stronger. You might try lifting weights? I know it’s not cardio, but overall you burn more calories with more muscles.
