I am 3 weeks post surgery. My foot no longer has the pains shooting thru it! I do have a new pain. When I get up from wheelchair and lift my leg(surgical one) I have pain in muscle on top of my leg! Also some pain in hip area. When I try to lift leg up to get out of wc . It doesn't hurt going side ways. I have to lift my leg with my hands but still will hurt. My other leg is fine-been using it to propel the chair. I have been using the knee scooter so have been somewhat active. I have to lift leg up to get on bed. I know it'll get better as I move it....anyone else have this problem? See less

have questions? Get Answers! So lI decided to get a knee scooter. It should come tomorrow. How many of you use one? Does it affect the knee much? I didn't thing I could at first because I had a scope on it years ago. But I see now getting all the way off foot can be worth the chance. Also have wheelchair so it won't be all the time on it.
I used mine alot. Worth every penny in my book. Specially when I went back to work. Plus I'm the most uncoordinated person I know! I would have fallen with the crutches. Lol
I used one....life safer, was able to get around easier...I was not able to use crutches as we didn't get along well together..lol...they wanted to go one way and I was going the other way. The only struggle I really had was getting it into the bathroom.
have questions? Get Answers! I had m my surgery yesterday. I am having what feels like nerve pain slipping the big toe side of for. I have a pin in it. Every ten seconds or so I have burning pain in one spot. I have Norco used every 6 hours. Has anyone had this?
Comment Sonya Wilson For me the pains keep changing every day is a bit different. But only a 3./10 pain level! You’ll have good and bad days I’m day 5 keep getting different sensations none of which I’m worried about. From a sharp ping, burn to a tingle to a bruised feeling and swollen all pretty normal I think. Rest and relax time will heal
have questions? Get Answers! I was told I will have bandages on for 3 weeks. I will lhave a one weeks check and they will change it. Then a 2 weeks check. I will have a boot after that. Will I be able to get back to work with the boot. I have a sit down job. I already have a foot stool I use at work because of my knee. My right side seems to be getting all the work done!
Comment Samantha Edwards This is a question best asked to your doctor. Personally I wouldn't rush it.

Every doctor is different! And it also may depend on the surgery performed. Regardless of the surgery I perform, my patients walk same day out of the operating suite in a small post-op shoes that does not go above the ankle. Some doctors have patients
