I am scared to death of bunion surgery.

I am scared to death of bunion surgery. Reading everyone's posts and what to expect is terrifying. I am afraid I will never be the same again. Can anyone give me some advice and what should I expect. I have no pain just occasional soreness on one foot. My doctor wants me to do both at once. I have two active big dogs and animals to take care of. How long will I actually be unable to walk? Here are my feet! Thanks everyone!
