I fell on my foot.
I fell on my foot. And has been three weeks i am still not able to bear weight and has swelling with tingling and numbness with pain. . Initial xray did not show any fracture but today I got MRI done. Because i have lot of midfoot pain upto the ankle . I am so upset they did not do MRI of my ankle though i have pain in my ankle also . Anyways based on the report below what everyone thinks from their personal experience ? Also yet to see the orthopedist . TECHNIQUE: Multiplanar multisequence MRI of the right foot was performed without the administration of intravenous contrast. FINDINGS: JOINTS: Lisfranc ligament is intact. No joint effusion. No significant joint space narrowing. No degenerative changes. BONES: No definite fracture. Normal marrow signal. There are a few tiny cystic foci around the proximal shafts of the 3rd metatarsal and base of the 4th metatarsal likely ganglion cysts measuring up to 5 mm. No surrounding edema. There is some nonspecific edema partially visualized in the distal cuboid. This is not in field of view on axial imaging. Possible stress edema. TENDONS: Flexor and extensor tendons are intact without tenosynovitis. SOFT TISSUES: No significant abnormality. IMPRESSION IMPRESSION: 1. Nonspecific edema in the distal cuboid. Possible stress edema. Not seen in its entirety 2. Tiny likely ganglion cysts around the proximal shafts of the 3rd metatarsal and base of the 4th metatarsal.
