I had bunion surgery on March 25th.

I had bunion surgery on March 25th. I developed a blister on top of my foot close to my toes N so far the wound has not healed. My foot gets very swollen by d end of d day. Any suggestions on what I can do to help it not get so swollen? My dr said that d swelling does not help my foot to heal. Any advice as to what I can do to minimize the swelling. I mean, not even half way width wise. It seems odd to me that I got bone shaved off and yet my feet seem wider. I can’t believe they could still be that swollen. My dr says up to a year, but really? I also feel like I still see a bump on the side, but I can see on the X-ray where they were shaved off. I will also add they were not Gail McDermott I’m going to be having a good riddance bunion party when I’m 100% healed. I ordered paper plates with sandals on them and napkins . I also got a knife with a foot on it to cut the bunion off!! This bunion has been a huge part of my life for many years and I’m so happy it’s gone.
