I had no issues with my toenails until I had COVID in December of 2021.
I had no issues with my toenails until I had COVID in December of 2021. I ended up in the hospital with COVID pneumonia and they gave me a round of remdesivir, an antiviral med. By February of 2022 my nail was lifting like in the first labeled pic. March of 2022 it was basically falling off so I clipped it way back as in the 2nd labeled pic. 2 years later I thought I had it beat. I was finally able to wear sandals again. That part is very weight bearing. It makes sense. The fascia runs the whole underside of the foot, spread out in every direction. Tension spreads, but I still think it makes perfect sense for the pain to concentrate there. Mine hurt there, too.
