I have noticed that anytime I wear sneakers my toes get numb but I'm ok wearing anything else.

I have noticed that anytime I wear sneakers my toes get numb but I'm ok wearing anything else. I love walking and walk 3-4 miles. Does anyone have a shoe to recommend that is good to walk those distances but isn't a sneaker? Thank you so much for your responses I really appreciate the insight!
