I’m 2 weeks post-op from a distal osteotomy chevron-type bunion correction, plus an Akin osteotomy. This is my first post-op x-ray. I’m worried because the metatarsal looks very offset and the screw heads look quite prominent. I’ve had relatively little pain (after day 4), minimal swelling, and am putting some weight on my heel now. I did have a fall and caught myself with this foot but it seemed OK after icing and elevation. Does this look typical for this type of surgery? I’m waiting for my surgeon’s interpretation too, so mostly looking for experiences from people who had the same procedure. I don’t meet with the surgeon for another 2 weeks I asked Claude and it says I’m overreacting but this x-ray looks pretty scary… See less
