I’m about 5 days post op and have awful pain overnight.

I’m about 5 days post op and have awful pain overnight. I mentioned it to my surgeon at follow up appointment this morning, and he thinks it’s nerve pain. That my nerves are basically stuck in fight or flight and are over firing. It’s been waking me up every hour when I fall asleep. He mentioned some sort of nerve simulator but I’m wondering if anyone else in the group has experienced this also and what you did to help.
