I’m at a loss .. I have seen a neuro muscular specialist and an ortho podiatrist who specializes in foot deformities . None seem concerned and the ortho said my toe seems extra mobile but My bunion is insignificant. My X-rays showed nothing . Except Flat feet which I’ve always had but recently this all started happening . After a flu .. with weird neuro symptoms I developed what seems like neuropathy ( clean emg 3 mo in ) numbness , cold pricking under toes .. on and off .. have to wear shoes and socks ( never did I ever and did lots of yoga barefoot all day ) My feet seem way flatter and bonier and the space between my toes is all new !!! It gets worse as time Goes on first it was the right foot ( the big toe also drifted to the second in a matter of a month then ) they all seem to be super bendy and the joints looking strange … the spread out when I go on toes or Foot to Maintain my balance .. I’m so worried something is terribly Wrong !im only 45 most wth these symptoms seem to be 70 or older . I may have Eds or heds I am hyper mobile . I see rhematology in February. But I also Get pains in my toe joints . For A bit it was in my fingers too See comments for What my feet Looked like Before .. also I did start to go into Perimenopause when this all happened .. could that do this !?

I developed numbness and tingling in my feet in 2016. Dr's kept attributing it to my bad back. Emg's were clear. Misdiagnosed for 3 years. I have MS

Definitely try HRT if u haven’t already…so many issues with declining hormones:( HRT fixes frozen shoulder and hip pain and mire…all resulting from decreasing hormones.

I was going to ask about EDS. And they checked out the plantar plate? Maybe run it by Dr Bregman who posts on here.

Not a medical pro but well versed in life (very large family). Your feet seem far better than 90% of the posters. However, your pain is real so lets go to the basics- Since you noticec your feet issues- New shoes? New detergent? Water purity? Any blood tests? - get one if no. Diet changes? Lymes disease test? Life stress situations? Weight gain/loss New lotions/ oils Worrying to some extent is understandable but too much will not be healthy. Make a plan to figure this out and tackle it; one step at a time! Good luck

I think my situation may be similar to yours. I'm 67 years old. I have been diagnosed with CREST (autoimmune) along with arthritis for about 20 years now. In September 2024 I had bunion surgery on my left foot and planned to have it on my right foot later. My bunion surgery turned out great. However on the 7th week after surgery, I could tell my toes were all trying to turn towards my big toe. When I ask my doctor about it, he just said he really didn't see it and he thought they would be fine. Two weeks later he agreed. He decided to fuse my second toe and put pins in my third and fourth toes, which is what he did. Three days after this surgery, he removed my bandage and my third toe was completely black so he immediately removed the pin from that toe. A few weeks later he removed the pin from my third toe but my toe was still not straight. Within the next few weeks he decided to remove the fourth toe which was black (dead) due to circulation problems. He then informed me there was nothing else he could do and said for me to call him if I needed him. Now since I don't have a third toe, my fourth toe has moved over towards my second toe and goes just enough under the edge of it for it to make a blister on it. Now I don't know where to turn to get the other foot done that I trust and I still have pain every day.
