From a little bit of research, which a lot is contradictory, it looks like it could be a muscle issue that is not holding the bone in place. To me it looks like if our foot was a plastic skeleton and we could manipulate it, we could move that bone back in place naturally and not by surgery. I just don't understand the theory behind cutting the bone, and then sticking pins in it. Couldn't there be a device that could push that bone back in place over time?
