I’m nearly 4 months post op and still can’t fit into any of my old trainers - has anyone else experienced this?

Yes. I’ve had to get 2 sizes bigger

Yea! Very normal! Give it a year or more. Eventually things fall back in place ☺️

My old sneakers no longer fit. Had to buy new ones! Went up a half size and now buy extra wide toe box.

Yes, near the same point and really struggling with foot wear. 😢 I’m normally an 8 and buying men’s wide 9’s which are too big for my non surgery foot.

I am 34 days post-op and can get into my old trainers, but they are not comfy. Right now I am wearing Hokas that are a half size bigger than my normal size.

I'm a half year out and slowly realized I'm a half to whole size up. Even with swelling well in the past.

Yes, I had a similar experience. Around the fourth month it started getting better (swelling) and at 6 months I could walk in my old shoes.

Yes. Im almost 2 years out and cant wear any of my old shoes that I wore prior to surgery. Had to go up a size in all shoes

It took 12 months for swelling to fully subside. Buy something inexpensive to get you through and don’t get rid of your old footwear.
