I used a walker in front of the toilet to help pull myself up . A friend that had the surgery told me about that an it was a huge help . I took 3 weeks off because I stand all day for work. If I had it to do all over again I would have taken longer off

I’m planning on having the lapiplasty (3D) correction surgery done at the end of September on my left foot.
I’m planning on having the lapiplasty (3D) correction surgery done at the end of September on my left foot. I work from home - how many days should I take off of work? I’m also trying to figure out how many days I will need help in my house with basic activities (showering, cooking, cleaning, driving to doctor’s appointments, etc.) Besides a knee scooter and crutches, or other aids helpful? TIA

I had minimal invasive surgery and I took 3 days off. The first 3 days were really hard. But my surgery was Friday, then I took Monday to Wednesday off. I work from home as well. A knee scooter helped me the first week a lot! Make sure you ice it a lot and keep it up. When I went back to work, I would take a 10 minute break every hour or two to ice it and elevate.
Surgery pillow to elevate as much as possible
