I need some help… I’m an amateur boxer who trains twice a day, I’m constantly twisting on my toes and shifting weight onto my feet (especially my right foot. For about a year I’ve been experiencing a hot like nerve pain underneath the ball of my right foot. Mainly triggered when the skin is pinched because I shift my weight onto that foot. Shared post Rhonda Lee I went to the podiatrist today to see if my feet was causing my leg, hip & lower back pain. He said my left foot was fine but my right foot is a serpentine shape. Which was a birth defect that didnt get caught until I was 60 years old. He also said that my right leg was longer than my left. Probably caused by my left knee replacement. Were going to try custom insoles first before we consider surgery. Has anyone had this. Did it cause your leg, hip & back pain? Did the insoles help? I have an involuted toe nail on my big toe and the nail has lifted on one side. Wearing any kind of shoe causes pain. The podiatrist said I should have the nail removed, but it will not grow back. A little about me. I am 66 years old. I work 3-4 days a week as a cook. I am on my feet for 8 hours a shift. This is really painful for me. I really need to find a nice desk job. I have neuropathy in my toes. My main areas of pain are my arches (which i am told are flat). Then I have these bumps on the side of my foot at the fifth metatarsal. They ache. I have been to see a podiatrist. No help! Not sure what the problem is. Went to an orthopedic doctor. No help there but he did tell me to get custom orthotics. I have an appointment in two weeks to get fitted for custom orthotics. Is this the answer to my problems? At $450 I am cautiously optimistic. Any advice? Help! I just don't know where to turn.
