I was able to return to work after 16 days of my surgery. My work is as sedentary as I make it. My doctor did give me a letter with some accommodations: no heavy lifting, rest as needed, keep foot elevated as needed, no prolonged standing. After 2 days I had call in sick because my lower back was hurting from sitting with my leg up and my foot was hurting. But I was able to go back to work the following day and today. Also I got a pedicure yesterday (Thursday) My nail lady worked on my foot with out getting it wet.

I'm 11 days post-op and debating on going back next week. I'm a first grade teacher, but I do have a co-teacher so...lots of help where needed. Just not sure if my foot will be able to hang down for a full day. I can probably prop up on a chair, but definitely not elevate. I guess time will tell. Glad you are healing so nicely.
