Im only 27 and im producing a very painful tailors bunion.

Im only 27 and im producing a very painful tailors bunion. My family doctor is saying not to do surgery but im looking for a second opinion bc in only 27 and its just going to get worse. My question is if i should do surgery or not? Do i do it now and get it out of the way and deal with the arthritis when im older or do the surgery when im older and risk infection and other issues. Idk what to do. A lot of people tell me not to do it and wait, but bc of that fact it doesn't make sense to me to wait? Help....
