Just had this foot surgery. Tibiotalacalcaneal fusion, been in cast for 6 weeks and another 6 weeks in moon boot. Been a real challenge being non weight bearing, especially as last year having femur fracture and complicated knee revision. Anyone having foot issues, act quick. I fell off ladder 3 yrs ago and fractured foot, radiologist never picked up fracture, sent to physio for months, the pediatrist, both of these clowns never picked up how serious it was. Back to doctors, told him i need to see surgeon, as soon as he saw me, it was bad. If i had surgery when it happened it would have been quick fix, rather than this salvage situation which will affect me for life. Good luck to everyone

I live in NZ, cannot claim for medical misadventure. Have ACC, which pays 80% of wages while off work, and can get permanent injury payment, but maybe $20k. But your right, if living anywhere else, would be a bit of money coming my way.
