What part of the body did they MRI? DEXA (Bone Density) Checked? Have they ordered a "Neuclear Medicine Bone Scan"? My Neuro (now retired) ordered this exam/imaging to rule out hairline fractures, Bone Cancer & other stuff ... Almost 3yrs since my was done. My new Neuro has now ordered a PtScan, so I sit & wait for my Imaging Appt.

Looking to see if this pain has happened to anyone else so I can maybe get answers.
Looking to see if this pain has happened to anyone else so I can maybe get answers. I sprained my ankle in July 2022 and have been in pain since. Nothing showed up on X-ray so I wore a boot and did PT. PT only made the pain worse and even went up to my knee area so my podiatrist ordered an MRI. Nothing showed up so he sent me to pain management where I have gotten 2 nerve blocks. The first block (Jan ‘23) lasted 12 weeks before the pain came back. The second block (May ‘23) worked for maybe 4 weeks. Just had another MRI 2 weeks ago and again, nothing is showing up so pain mgmt doctor is sending me to an ortho doctor. I am in constant pain, can’t exercise, and just ready for someone to cut my foot/ankle open and see what’s going on . Including pictures to show where the pain is.

I’m not sure what they checked. Only the ankle was approved by insurance, but the rad tech told me she got as close to my toes as possible to get the whole foot
Health Ins Government or Private are cheap buggers!!! I'm literally a Neurological Nightmare head to toes & my Ins is dragging their @$$e$😒
Yes I'm going through the same thing as you. Its going on 20mo. for me. I was only approved for ankle mris as well and the docs say theres nothing of major concern. It hurts so much to walk and my pain is also under the lateral aspect of my foot. Hurts on the sides and near my knee as well but under the base of the 5th metatarsal kills. Feels like a tendon is going to burst but Mris came back normal along w Xrays, blood tests and EMG tests. Normal. Its driving me insane
yes!!!! 😭😭😭
if I get any answers I'll let you know. So far the best treatment I've gotten was a PT moving my bones around. A medical massage for soft tissues issues. He said its something to do w soft tissue and fascia problems. When he massaged the lateral side of my foot I was able to walk for 30mins. I went from barely walking for 5mins to 30mins. But now the pain is back and can barely walk. So i need to find someone who specializes in soft tissue issues who I can see on a long term basis. So if I find any answers I'll let u know.
Therapy can rub behind the knee tendon might have drawn in.
