All that extra dead skin could be causing some issues, so maybe start there? When he gets out of the bath/shower and all of the dead skin is softened, rub it off with a towel. It should come off easily.

My 9 year old has had 2nd toe nail thickness for a few years on both feet. It looks like it'll grow out but never fully looks like a normal nail. He is narrow footed and ties his shoes so tight I wonder if it squishes his toes. I get him wide toe box shoes and buy new socks often. He also starts to run on his toes despite me trying to teach him different. Long story short, his one 2nd toe nail is looking more off to me where it may not be a tight shoe issue. I know looking at a picture is hard to tell, but I'm hoping showing this, I may get a parent who has been through this. Any parents go through this?

Anonymous member 485 it probably only looks dry because its so zoomed in. Even normal healthy skin looks like that zoomed in.
Anonymous member 322 it's literally peeling though..
Use Vicks 2X a day
Yes, he has peely toes. It drives me nuts but it's happened since he was little. He has pretty sweaty feet so I take extra measures to try to keep his feet dry and skin healthy. He's like a little snake lol. But thank you, I do appreciate you for the after shower tip.
