So many talk about how toe spacers have helped them. Two questions: what kind, and when do you wear them? Inside your shoes for regular walking? During exercise? At bedtime? TIA!

I just have cheap ones from Amazon. Start with 10 mins or so as they can be uncomfortable. I have been wearing them for a few months and generally wear them all evening now while at home. You won’t be able to wear them in shoes

This is the first I’ve heard about these. How are they supposed to help us?

Where do you get these?

I wear mine of an evening (watching TV) while I put my feet on a heat pad.

I have resumed this recently after lapsing for a few months...generally it's best to start gradually and wear them for a few minutes at rest then build up to walking a bit in them. Some progress to wearing them practically all the time. I am having to use them with caution having lapsed or they cause my soles to ache more. It helps overall though.

I have been wearing mine for parts of the day for a couple of weeks and making a big difference to me , but you do have to build up and persevere a bit. I've quickly built up to wearing for hours and walking in them for half an hour. I wear them in my Altras where the toe box is wide enough. I do still find them unconfortable when worn for a long time, but now the only discomfort is the inevitable discomfort from wearing what amounts to rubber bands on my toes, which is relieved as soon as I take them off. The actual spacer parts are fine. I'm surprised at how much they've helped. I'm in the UK and mine were £3.99 for 2 pairs from Amazon.

I use them all day remove overnight from about 6 pm

By returning them to a spread out orientation.(look at a baby's toes). Most shoes keep the toes crunched together. I use toe sox and wide toe box shoes. They naturally started spreading. I do have toe spacers right next to me though. Best wishes on your recovery.
