Don’t judge, but i have a guy that does side work and does it for $1.50 sq/ft. He is 30+ years in the business and his work is immaculate. He shows up when he says he will and he doesn’t touch drugs or alcohol. Only stipulation is I pay him in cash and rooms are completely cleared out prior to install. Seems like a fair request considering the value i’m receiving.
Large Institutional Investors always want a per sf price - broken out by labor and materials. Direct to homeowner - they may not ask because they aren’t usually educated enough to ask! Know your worth! $1.67 per sf is too cheap whether it’s straight forward or not. Remember, even if you’re a one man show and do not have a ton of overhead- the up and down and time on your knees, will come for you in ten to twenty years! Make it worth it.
I fly between 30 and 35 flights a year. It doesn't feel right that I travel at least twice a month and I am only AL, and someone that has only flown 8 trips gets ALP. I am currently at 21 flights for the year. Oh well. I guess I just have to do it the hard way.
