This client came in with visible buildup between the toes, changes in the nails, and concerns on the bottom of the feet — but that doesn’t automatically mean she has to give up the look she wants. I still reconstructed and covered her toenails with acrylic while also educating her on what needs to happen at home. That’s the difference. Corrective foot care isn’t just about what happens during the appointment. I talk to my clients about what I’m seeing, what may be working against their progress, realistic expectations, hygiene, consistency, and what they can do between appointments to better support their feet and nails. Acrylic itself isn’t a magic fix — but simply removing acrylic without addressing the habits, environment, moisture, buildup, and home care isn’t a magic fix either.
