When you showered did you put the cast covers over the black "sandal shoes" or just your wraps?

When you showered did you put the cast covers over the black "sandal shoes" or just your wraps? It is so hard to get them on over the sandals, but without them I can't out any pressure on my feet so I can't figure out how to make it work. I do have a shower chair and a husband to help. I am a week out and have taken two showers and I dread them.
