Hi everyone, I’m new to the group. I have flat feet, bunions, tailor’s bunions, pain when I walk and my legs get really tired when I stand for more than 5 minutes. I went to a podiatrist last week and had an MRI and X-rays. He recommended flat foot reconstruction. I’ve had problems with my feet for 12 years. It’s just getting worse. I live in Orlando and my husband and I are flying to Pittsburgh this coming Monday to see a foot and ankle surgeon there named Dr. Carl Hasselman. Has anyone ever heard of him? I have never known anyone that has had this surgery. What kind of questions should I ask him?

What will this surgery do? I have flat feet and a great 5 bunion but haven't heard of this.

I never heard of flat foot reconstruction, sorry I can not help in any way. Please let us know what the doctor says, after your visit
