Hi I’ve just joined so basically I’m disabled with my mobility but can walk with a Rollator. I have drop foot in both feet but for months I’ve had terrible pain in my feet mainly left one . It’s making my walking so unstable and I’ve already fallen and broke my Neck of femur. My feet hurt in bed and all day long . It can be all over or just the ankles and underneath the feet. I’ve tried braces from orthotics but they hurt too much. My Dr doesn’t do anything as I don’t tolerate meds so every night I put Deep Heat on my feet but that’s not helping either. I’m really fed up with as I have to have my husband walk behind me all the time encase I fall. Even when I’m in my wheelchair when I have to go outside my feet hurt so much that I now hate using my wheelchair. Sorry for the long post but I just don’t know what to do. Thanks

My podiatrist recommended me some these slides sandals for walk at home and they help so much to relief my ankle and feet! I have worn these all day and absolutely NO pain!

Have you tried everything recommended? No harm in getting a second opinion or going another route in your treatment plan. I keep thinking of what I will try next if what I'm currently doing isn't working.

Do you have a diagnosis? Gout, flat feet etc.

I’d get a second opinion. Sounds like you may have bone spurs

I wear Skechers slip on to give me lots of cushioning but sometimes I think I think they are causing a corn in my big toe.

I’m going back to Orthotics’s but seeing my GP next week as pain really bad and want to find out about cortisone shot plus as I’m disabled I think braces will make me worse as I’ve lived with foot drop for about 18 years so used to walking with foot drop plus being disabled and use a Rollator change scares me as fear falling since I broke neck of femur.

that would be my only suggestion it’s a shame but we really have to keep on going until we get some answers and find a dr that can help. Almost need our own medical degree at times.
