2nd September - LEFT - 2nd 3rd 4th distal metatarsal minimally - invasive osteotomy (DMMO) + percutaneous tendoachilles lengthening. I'm not doing too bad at moment I am getting quite bit of pain at back of ankle where I've had Achilles done. The Achilles lengthening wasn't planned for my surgery but he said it needed doing so when I woke up in recovery I knew something was different as the pain in back of ankle I knew I shouldn't of had. But when he explained he'd done it I then clicked on to why I had pain at back of ankle. I'm hoping the lengthening is successful as my right foots been done twice now and I have tendonitis and I need debridement on my right foot on my Achilles due to thickening of Achilles and I may need FHL tendon transfer on right foot too due to the issues I'm having. If anyone else has had similar surgery I'd love to hear about your recovery.

Hope your healing goes well. I had my surgery which was hardware removal and MIS on Aug 14 th plus a hammer toe with pin in it. Not too bad this time- had right foot done which was lapiplasty with 2nd and 3 rd toe release- and can do partial weight bearing this time. Still have the pin which I will be glad to get that removed. Stay hydrated and pain meds plus icing and hope you healing process goes well. Keep us informed.
awhh thank you so much and definitely will keep you updated. I've had a lot of past foot surgeries. 9 surgeries between both feet to be exactly. I was born where my bone joints was all deformed and I've had them all relined. I had a screw removed on this surgery too as was causing issues. Awhh bless you I hope your recovery is going well and the pains not too bad now. Yeah the pins can be bit of nightmare can't they you'll feel so much better once removed. When do you get it removed? 🥰 definitely staying hydrated due to I was very dehydrated before surgery as they struggled to even get a cannula in me to pop me off to sleep due to I was scheduled to have my surgery the 1st but it got cancelled and then they brought me in next day. Struggling to keep foot down at moment due to new anaesthetic they used due to my complications I have with them. I've been throwing up a lot since so unsure how to deal with these side effects hoping they settle in next few days. Hope you have speedy recovery and the heeling process goes smoothly for you. thanks! I got my pin removed last Wed. Feels so much better. Did you say 9 surgeries! Wow! You are a pro at this I would say. This was my 3 rd. Do understand that it takes many surgeries to get the feet right. Plus recovery is not the easiest. Sorry to hear your stomach has been so upset. Do Tums help or pepto bismal? Hope you get some relief soon.
awhh did you how did you find the pin removal? As I've had them myself before. Yes 9 surgeries that's correct. I was born where my feet was turned inwards and my bone structure needed relining. Wow that was your 3rd surgery? Are you experiencing any neuropathic pains? I get neuropathic pain due to amount of surgeries I've had where my feet always feeling like they are burning. I would say I'm a pro at looking after wounds and icing as much as I can but I have struggled this surgery. I'm getting a lot of shooting pains in my toes lately so I'm unsure if this is normal. My stomachs settled now thank you I have buscapan for my stomach.
