Had surgery a week ago, finding it so frustrating not being able to do anything and think me and the hubby are on the verge of throttling each other Diana Montague Hi - glad to have found this group. I am from the UK and had surgery 3 days ago so still very early days. I had 2 hammer toes straightened at the same time as tne bunion. I have a shoe for heel walking but I find this difficult to put on as I have wires protruding out of my toes (not a good look!) Normally I’m very active and enjoy tennis so I’m going to find the process frustrating but so relieved I’ve now had surgery. It’s taken m Emma Harrison This is my foot two weeks after the op. Quite pleased with it. I’m taking it steadily, still elevating a lot but finding it liberating that when I walk I do it fully on both feet without crutches. Feeling optimistic for a swift full recovery if I keep building up cautiously. Wanted to let people know there's light at the end of the tunnel as that first two-week stage is pretty frustrating. Amanda Morrison Long post I’m sorry!!! I had minor invasive bunion surgery on my right foot in August 2024. Then a second surgery to remove a hardware in October 2024, then another surgery to shave my bone down in December 2024. I still have pain and feel sore all the time. I went to the foot doctor two weeks ago and told him I feel something, almost like a piece of the hardware on the side of my foot, and it’s really painful. It's so frustrating. I cannot wear birkenstocks. Nothing with flat bottoms. I really love my on clouds but they aren't quite wide enough. TIA.
