Hey all- I had a bunionectomy/ hammer toe fused in my right foot.
Hey all- I had a bunionectomy/ hammer toe fused in my right foot. December 19, 2024. April 28, 2025 they had to open me back up as a screw was coming out . You can see in the picture below. Fast forward to July 2025, foot still swelling, was hurting. Was told then that I had 2 bones that were not fusing back together- non union- so I wore a bone stimulator machine from July - December 2025. My foot STILL hurts although according to my surgeon my foot finally did heal in the one spot. He is talking about taking the hardware out- plate and 5 screws if it is still hurting in March of this year. Has ANYONE experienced this, had hardware taken out, and then did your foot stop hurting?
